Zero Rift/3d action genre/completion day 1
Zero Rift is my first completed game using unity engine for fun born of art and programming interest. interactive art is always better than traditional art in my opinion so 3d animation was a blast to learn. computer programming is a passion of mine and im currently attending college for database administration. this project has lasted me 2 years on and off and will be the definite first of many. blender was used for the 3d models and animations. i bought ableton live to make the background music. and i learned a great deal in programming by using c# for this project. all the mechanics in the game were worked at ground up and the whole project was a changing work in progress with a simple open world 3d beat em up/ hack n slash concept that guided me as i discovered different ways to implement what was closest to my original design. stamina bars, health regeneration, engaging boss battles, health damage traps, ui messages, simple timed events, enemy ai and basic 3d controls were all programming challenges a part of the learning process that will help me as i learn to make new games of different genres in the future. i plan to make first person shooter, survival horror styled games, shoot em ups, fighting, puzzle, platformers 2d and 3d, 3rd person shooters, racing and exploration based open world games. with varying art styles and themes or subjects. art and programming are two of my favorite things. and concept art with accompanying background music also brings me to the game development scene.
